Dea began her farming career on a small, sustainable market garden in Salisbury, MD. After years in the field on different farms, she gained experience in pastured livestock and poultry, on-farm poultry processing, micro-dairy, organic feed and vegetable production, greenhouse and high tunnel construction and management and agricultural education. In 2013, Dea was hired at Mount Pleasant to develop a vegetable garden and expand farm operations and production.

Matt grew up in Pennsylvania helping out on his Aunt and Uncle's vegetable farm and CSA. After a few seasons working on other small vegetable farms and a Christmas tree operation to hone his growing chops and experience with equipment, he sought a position where he could learn more about livestock production. Matt joined the Mount Pleasant farm team in early 2017, where he has quickly expanded an already diverse skill set.
